Welcome to our website. Hexham Kennel was started in 1994 with Smooth Fox Terriers from Mrs. Stout’s Quissex Kennel in Rhode Island, Sibyll Somer’s Winsome Kennel, and Nancy Bartholomew’s A Shoe Kennels. A second Quissex bred Smooth Fox Terrier rounded out my foundation bitches. I have attempted to meld the English and American Fox Terrier bloodlines to produce the Smooth I am most happy with. I maintain a small kennel with a maximum of three litters a year.

Since my first litter in 1994, I now have 26 homebred American Champion Smooth Fox Terriers, including specialty winners. We have recorded multiple wins at Montgomery County Weekend including: Winners Dog and Best of Winners MCKC, Reserve Winners Bitch MCKC (three times), and numerous class placements MCKC. We have earned Winners Dog and Best of Winners honours at the Devon Kennel Club Show and Reserve Winners Dog at Hatboro II. We have also owned and/or bred Top 5 Show Smooths in Canada for multiple years with very limited showing in Canada.
